A fun working environment with wonderful colleagues. That's how we would like to see things. But how do we keep that working environment (and the rest of the world) pleasant? There's a lot of work to be done there! We all have to do our part to work towards a better future.

At Redbrick, we don't shy away from our responsibility, and sustainability is therefore a high priority of ours. These are a couple of things we have already achieved:

  1. All our new collections are designed without leather. We have found other, equally good materials to use for our safety sneakers. For example, our Redbrick Motion collection and the latest Redbrick Pulse models are all completely leather-free. By using new materials, these shoes are also easier to recycle and reuse.
  2. All our shoelaces are made from rPET (recycled plastic).
  3. All our shoe boxes are made of FSC certified cardboard.
  4. 4. All our parcels are shipped with DHL's GoGreen service. We deliberately chose this shipping method. With this service, DHL calculates the CO2 emissions per shipment. They then offset these emissions by investing in eco-friendly projects.

Circular Footwear Alliance

Through our parent company Allshoes, Redbrick is a co-founder of the Circular Footwear Alliance (CFA). The CFA provides several collection points for work and safety shoes, at which you can hand in your Redbrickies. They will be disassembled by the CFA in order to reuse the materials. This way, we can work towards a future without waste and a future in which fewer new materials are needed.
